Does caffeine help diabetics?Claims have been made stating that caffeine is beneficial for diabetes patients. This, however, is a myth. In fact, caffeine makes it harder for diabetes patients to control their blood sugar. This could be detrimental to their health. Duke University conducted a study where type 2 diabetes patients had their blood sugar tested on days they didn't consume caffeine and days that they did. They found that blood sugar was significantly elevated on the days they took the caffeine pills.
